Clogged Toilets

If your toilet won't flush, it's typically best to use a plunger to dislodge the clog. If you don't own a plunger, you can purchase one from a local hardware or big box store.

To get rid of the clog, simply press the plunger into place over the toilet drain. Push down firmly to create a seal and move the plunger handle up and down rapidly to push the clog through the pipe.

Sink / Shower Clogs

If your sink or shower isn't draining properly, there may be a clog at the mouth of the drain. Many hardware stores sell drain cleaning tools designed to help you fish out hair and other debris.

Please don't use harsh chemical drain cleaners to clear the clog, as this could damage the pipes.

If you lose electrical power...

First, call your electrical provider and troubleshoot the issue. There may be problems with your account billing or outages in your area.

If you continue to have issues after speaking with the utility company, reach out to our team.

If you don't have hot water in your rental, locate the water heater and verify the settings on the tank. Is the heater in vacation mode? If it's a gas-powered unit, is the pilot light still lit?

If you make any changes to the temperature settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water again.

If your heating or air conditioning isn't working, locate the central thermostat for your rental home and verify that all settings on the system are accurate. You may be able to turn your system off and back on again to reset the defaults.
